Forget about the seven charkas, the eightfold path,
the ten gates to personal transformation,
the 12 laws of spiritual success.
Stop chanting to Father Sun and Sister Moon
or is it Grandmother Sun and Uncle Moon?
I think I’ll settle my account at “Minerva’s Candles and Crystals”
… I have an allergy in there somewhere.
Cancel my subscription to Magical Blend, The Shaman’s Drum
and move my furniture back to the way I like it, pre Feng Shui.
Stop scattering tobacco in the Medicine Wheel
(with my sense of direction, I never got it right anyway).
I’ll put away my Zen Alarm Clock and my
Angel of the Day cards.
Perhaps I should stop following the Guru known as
Ruchira Avatar Adi Da Samraj Love-Ananda Avabhasa
Santosha Dau Loloma Vuirarama.
Return to the library my overdue copy of
The Secret Oral Teachings of Tibetan Buddhist Sects.
Maybe I should give up on ever finishing
the Living in the Light Workbook
the Mind Shampoo Workbook.
I think I’ll just be the simple me, and live the life I have.
